Wild Violets. We spent yesterday collecting wild violets. While they're an edible flower, we harvested for their medicinal properties, particularly their amazing properties as a cough remedy. They're particularly useful for illnesses like bronchitis.
Traditionally they've been used as an expectorant, diuretic, and anti-inflammatory. Used both internally and topically, violet is helpful for cystitis, rheumatic complaints, eczema, psoriasis, acne, and topically for babies with cradle cap.
Because of the current state of affairs in the world, we are busy collecting foraged medicinal plants and herbs that may be helpful for the particular problem at hand.
Do you have wild violets?
